Help...Im looking for a kit....
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 3:21 AM
Ok folks years ago Testors had a Ferrari Testarosa....It was big Im thinking 1/12th scal but it could have been 1/8 or even 1/18th. The thing was about the only decent Testors kit I've seen(The F117 was a joke but we...wont go thereWink [;)])! Anywho...This was like 10yrs ago if not more....The kit was molded in Red and Black(its only down fall IMHO though easily fixed with primer!) plastic with some grey thrown in here and there....I recieved 2 of these as gifts and built both of them they turned out beautifully.....However they got lost in a move. I want another one....So if you see one please let me know! I dont care if its in BFE Bahrain...if you see it please get me the number of the shop you saw it in or post the link to the site here....Im desperate! LOL

Lil more info...Last time I saw this kit was back around 94 or 95 in Sams Clubs...

Many thanks for any help!

I'm sorry, I looked all over the web, and could fine none. But I found one that might whet your appetite until you do find one.

Click the link and you will see it on e-bay. It is Monogram's 1/24 scale from their Exotic Cars Series circa 1990-1991, and is as rare as the one you're looking for!
Fantastic kit.
I'll keep looking for the Testor/Italeri kit for you though.

Chris,
Not exactly the kit you're looking for, but I've heard that these are great together. Might be a great alternative.

Thanks for the help guys....Im watching the 1/16th Fujimi kit though as Fujimi kits are nicer than Testors could have ever done!

Chris,
Years ago I built the Fujimi Testarosa. It is a pretty nice kit, I even still have it.
Anyway, I know a place you could check. It is www.legendshobbies.com
I have gotten many rare car kits there, if they don't have it, they can probably get it.

Hope this helps,

Mark

Chris, I have the Testors 1/16 Testarossa. I'm not sure, but someone told me that it's the same kit as the Fujimi.

What would you be willing to spend?

Oh yeah, Revell made a 1/12 model of this car also but I don't have that one anymore.
