tire mold lines

On the soft rubber types (like from Japanese kits) I use a razor, just like you'd use on your face, to shave them off. Just fold them to raise the mold line a little and shave them off.

For the hard type typically found in american kits, I chuck them into a motor tool and sand them off. Sometimes it's hard to find a way to get them to stay attached to the tool, but when I can get them to stay, it works very well.

It is a Revell kit. How do you attach the wheel to your dremmel?

I stick my finger in the hole and use 200 grit to remove the lines, turning the tire as I go.

I have used this method for some time and it never fails.

Will

doing it by hand is one way, but the way I usually do it is to put the tire on something like one of the sanding drums, but one that is big enough to hold it tight. It's an inexact science, of sorts, because it never really stays put like it should ideally. Lots of adjusting. But, like I said, when it works, it works well and more importantly, quick.
