Here's a truck I did a few years back

For something with wheels, that's pretty cool.

For something which became a play toy for 3 year old, it's in very good shape. Must have been very solid to survive that ordeal. Says something for the builder.

Slick build, Eric. I think you need to post the "after" picture so the rest of the gang can see what happens when toddler meets model.

Ok Ed. Here's the truck when I got it back, next to my Marder for a size comparison. The truck was in suprisingly good shape for a 3 yr old getting a hold of it. I did have to glue the doors shut and loose some of the other functionality as mostly what broke was the plastic hinge pins and such. I didn't feel like repairing all that and my friend won't mind. I do have another kit of this truck for me to do sometime. I'll strip all the chrome to fill gaps, replace with bare metal foil or alclad and do some detailing on it. That will be on down the road though as I've got the armor bug right now.

After seeing the initial damage, makes the first pics you posted even more impressive. Nice salvage job on that model!

Wow Eric, great job on saving that one. So how many hours did that take on the operating table? I have a few that my boys have gotten ahold to that are beyond the saving point. That's allright though, they were'nt very good ones any way and it might be their way of telling me that.

You may be just the guy to help me. I need help with truck tires. I am building a M123A1C in 1/35th scale mostly from scratch. I will be using the Tamiya Dragon Wagon tires but the wheels are of the wrong pattern. I need civilian pattern 5 or 6 slot with ten bolts. What I need help with is if Dragon Wagon tires will fit on 1/25 or 1/24 scale truck wheels. Can you help me out?

Enough to make me start shifting without the clutch (as usual).

Chris, it really didn't take as long as I thought it would as I just superglued stuff back on. If I'd tried to repair the hinges and everything else it would have taken a long long time!

HeavyArty, I don't think you'll find any 24th or 25th scale wheels that will fit the Dragon Wagon tires as the scale difference is too much. Animal may be able to give you some help as he does a lot of scratch building of military trucks and he'd be the one to know if there's some wheels out there in 35th that you could use. Look for him in the armor forum and send him an e-mail or just oist your question there.

Thanks again for the compliments everyone else. One day I'll do mine and detail the heck out of it and see how that comes out.
