Posted by nfpa1002 on Sunday, January 18, 2009 11:38 PM

hello,

I  am looking  for  kit  information on chevy  &  Plymouth 6  cylinder  engines...

In both  production kit  and  resin form. for  1960's Nove  &  Valiant. i  found perry's  resin but  do  they  still produce  the  chevy  6 cyl. kit?

I can think of one of each. The Galaxy 48 Chevy kits have an excellent inline 6 with some tasty Wayne speed equipment. AMT's Deora has a slant 6, although I haven't really looked at it in some time.

The Monogram 1/24th 1953 Chevy Bel-Air and 1953 Corvette kits each have the Stovebolt.  The Corvette version is tri carb and has a little dress up chrome.

Replicas and Miniatures Company of Maryland should have a Chevy 6 banger engine. They have an ad. on Model cars magazine and Scale Auto magazine also. I bought one for my '66 Chevelle station wagon to replace the eight banger.

The inline 6 engine in the AMT 60 Chevy pickup would be the closest to the six in the Nova.you would still need an aircleaner..

The 6 cylinder before that looked different.. Granted if you use the speed equipment, it would be hard to tell...

500 started, none finished....
