skill level 1 cars; any way to make them better?
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 1, 2003 2:40 PM
My question is already stated in the topic. I always build skill level 2, but this value pack of cars I bought has two skill level 1 autos. I already have some ideas: maybe cutting the seats off, painting them, doing general detail painting, etc. However, I don't think there's any way to make an engine for it; I guess I could, but it would be much more intelligent to not waste all the effort and just buy a skill level 1. Anyway, tips would be appreciated.

HEY,
I would just get a skill two car. It seams like it would be easie and you would get better results.

Throw them in a box and lable the box "Scratch building parts". You would be amazed at what you can use from them on future builds. Someone gave me some level 1models a long time ago. They have come in handy when I ruin a piece on a build. Or Sometimes you like the wheels better on the level 1 or something. I have even chopped the top off of one car and used the top off a scratch car. its fun to mix and match sometimes.

Use the aftermarket accessories etc to "do them up" in that way they just become the canvass for your artistry.

Get creative, cut, chop, customise, modify.

Some suggestions:
MAD MAX style cars.
Thunder Races or Junkyard War entries.

Make them into weird futuristic war machines .

I would build them anyway, just as they are. After some of the projects that I have done (very labor and time intensive), or when work is stressing me out, It can be VERY refreshing to pop out a skill level 1 car or pickup. Easy, fun, and no stress! And most are quite good in the exterior detailing nowadays.Big Smile [:D]

Which ones do you have?
