                        Aw shucks, t'wernt nothing. But, since you brought it up........I'd like to thank my car owner, my sponsors, Ford Motor Company, the boys back at the shop, all the.......uhh.........whoops...got a little carried away there for a minute.                         It was late in the day when I took the pic so Ill try later.I posted this pic on my Guitar forum as my "New Ride' and people thought it was a real car!Wow!I didn't expect to fool anyone but I did!I guess photographed at the right angle on a piece of Silicon Carbide sandpaper did the trick!

                        Lookin' good. But could I also suggest putting the sun behind you instead of behind the model. That'll help bring out chrome and brighten up the black paint and really make it pop.

                        Looks good-very realistic pic.  Might I suggest a dark pin wash on the rims?  Might bring out some detail.

                        I put on the front bumper and put the bottom trim and hood bullets on,so now she looks like a proper '57 chevy.

                        Added the fuelie air can and air duct .   I also added the rear bumper,fin spears and license plate bracket.Fit of the chrome parts was vey good.

                        Installed the radiator and hooked up the hoses.Boy, that lower radiator hose was a pain!I first tried to follow the instructions,which indicated that you had to cement the hose to the radiator and then install it into the engine bay.No dice!The hose interfered with the fan belt and prevented installation of the radiator bulkhead!So I had to install the radiator and then use  one of my longer set of tweezers to install the hose on both the water pump and then the radiator.Not Fun!But I eventually got it in .The upper hose was easy   .

                        Mated the body to the chassis today.The fit of the interiortub/dash board was very good.The chassis had a few fit issues but after a little adjustment fit fine.

                        I Bare Metal foiled it today Foiled it today.Next up I will install the glass ,install the interior and mate the body with the chassis.

                        Yes I guess i am guilty of representing an "over-restored" black Widow Clone!Yes the Holder is invaluable for holding parts for painting!I bought two of them years ago at Big lots  for 5 bucks apiece!Great investment!

                        I used an LMG Enterprises polishing kit on the body.The kit consists of progressively finer grits (3200,4000,6000,8000 and finally 12000 grit).It removed the orange peel but I burned through to the primer in some areas and it dulled the finish somewhat.So I washed it and will let it air-dry overnight.Then I will mask off the white and give it a thinned "wet" coat to restore gloss and cover the areas where I burned through.

                        Might not be too bad, might be able to squeak it through. Them good ol' boys in Yankeeland in USAC did let'em keep the Hemi is the smaller cars in '65.

                        Completed the interior tub.I had to to remove the clutch  pedal and bend the shifter upward to indicate the car's in park.
