Lookin' good. But a tip on the Future. Been using it for many years to protect the decals and level out the handlettering on my race cars and less is more. This stuff is strong enough to walk on so it doesn't take mutch.

Try just flowing on a thin coat with a small brush, starting from the roof on down. Use a torn paper towel to wick off the liquid that collects on the rocker panels and set it aside to dry. I even coat the chrome bumpers to protect the chrome finish from handling. My stuff is used for photo props and get a lot of that. LOL

Looks like from the pics that you got about a 1/2" thick coat in scale and the thick coats also leads to the golf ball surface dimpled look that you're getting. Not a dig, just sharing my experience so you can let that beautiful model shine through. I've got some planes put back that I'm gonna want some matte and flat finish tips on from you.

I would've buffed out the color coats, but that's metallic red paint, and from what I hear it is suicide to buff or polish metallics...Question [?]

Thanks for all the praise,

Cheers!

Nice job Red.  A little more light in your picture taking area would great though.  I don't normally clearcoat, but instead buff out the color coats.  Takes a little while and some practice, but produces good results, for me any ways.

The multiple coats of future floor polish are probably what makes it look weird, especially if I brush it on (which I always do).

Thanks!  the trim is brushed-on MM Metalizer Non-buffing aluminum.  I would like to do the Bare metal foil sometime, though.

Thanks for the compliments,

-Red

Looks good to me, especially for a first car. Something about the paint seems odd?  like maybe its a little thick or somthing.. I dunno maybe its just the camera haha.  But still I like it.

And I know what you mean about coming close to the work you see around here, I feel the same way about mine which is why I don't post my work here usually Whistling [:-^]

The trim looks realy good too, definately better than when I try to do trim XD  Did you paint it on or try bare metal foil?

Hey all, Red here

I do most of my posting in the aircraft area, but I figured I'd try a car for once.  Why?

-Aircraft models are getting expensive

-I like anything mopar or muscle related

-Why not?

I can't even come close to some of the work I seen in these parts, but nevertheless, I hope you like it.

Kit is a 1/25 Revell '70 dodge challenger r/t (modified with t/a body parts).  Think of it as the first SRT model.Big Smile [:D]

enjoy,

-Red
