Bburago Bugatti Type 55
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 10:44 PM
I just purchased Bburago's 1/24 scale kit of the Type 55 Bugatti. the instructions say that while it is not necessary to paint anything, it makes for a better looking model to paint certain details. Unfortunately, the instructions don't bother to say which details to paint or specify any colors.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Bburago has a web address, but AOL and MSN both keep coming up with the message that the site can't be found.
Thanks

I wouldn't waste my time with Bburago. Do a search on the Bugatti itself and see if you can't find some on line pictures of the real car. Depending on where you live the public library can be a great source as well. That's a very historic and well documented car that appears in a great number of books. I'm sure that with a little research you'll have that Bug looking a lot better than the Out-of -Box model.

I have an assembled 55 that I plan to take apart, and redetail. Many of the details are rather crude. But, we must remember that very few Bugattis are available :)
