I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this, but I recently purchased a Burago Hummer H2...a beautiful diecast car, except that it was a "customized, low-rider edition."
I set out to remedy that situation. I took the car apart and then glued the interior in the body so that it would stay in place when I raised the body to accept more "stock-looking" wheels. I got the wheels from an old diecast earthmover and drilled the Hummer "chassis" to accept the thicker axles (which I trimmed to fit the Hummer's narrower stance). Spacers raised the body so the wheels cleared the wheelwells.
Here is a picture of the finished H2, sitting on my bookshelf and my version of the Yellow Submarine and a same-scale diecast Ford pick-up truck.
It was a fun evening's work.
