DEUCE HIGHBOY ROADSTER
Posted by tiki kat on Monday, June 1, 2009 10:11 PM

This build started in 2005, got packed up, moved 1000 miles, survived, got put on the back burner until a few weeks ago.  It's the Revell GoodGuys 1932 Ford Roadster, with a little Kat Klass and Kat Style.

The build is basicallyfrom the kit, although I altered the stance, added white metal coilover shocks, a PE grille, turned alum. headlights (Parts By Parks, made the induction system from white metal HO train parts, added the necessary plumbing and wiring and added some rake to the kit windshiel.  Paint is my old standby, Tamiya Gloss Black, straight from the no clean up necessary rattle can.  Interior got a little Bare Metal Foil on the gauges, a Model Car garage banjo steering wheel and some pastel weathering.  Turned out OK.

Since I'm not sure if there's a picture per post limit, here's a couple more.

This was a particularly fun build for me, even if it did span half a decade.Whistling [:-^]

Thanks philo!  The wires are actually bright orange, so much for my accurate photography!! LOL!  It is a great kit, I'd HIGHLY recommend it.  It's got a great beat and is easy to dance to.

Hey guys, this is one fine pair of roadsters. the Duece has always been one of my favorites, but Philo's '29 is really smooooooooth. I love them both.

Thank you, gentlemen!  This was a fun build that turned out pretty well, if I do say so and philo's '29 is a cool ride.  Maybe we need to start a Saturday Night Drive In thread?
