i have a couple of tamiya motorcyles and was wondering if there is any special prep for painting. i am new with these and was wondering

The preparation are the same as with any other plastic model.

Clean, glue and fill seams, sand down and prime.

If you want to do a rat-bike let me know, seen plenty.

A rat bike??

At BIke rallies we normally got some competitions:
1.) Best Bike.
2.) Best Customisation.
3.) Rat Bike.

Rat Bike is for the WORST looking Bike that is still running.
Examples:
Exhausts are held up with handcuffs, Headlight is fitted inside a camping tin-dish, seat is a woodboard with a little bit of leather to cover it, etc.
Anything goes, the more outrageous the better.

Rat-Bikes are fun.
