I agree with Bob, this is a very nice, well built gasser!  I like the home brewed decals (even if the name is a little "off" now Whistling [:-^])What color is that, or did I miss it?

Great build Matt.  Very nice engine detail, paint and the little things, like the 'chute lines add to the build.  I especially enjoyed seeing the 'pre-paint' version, since it was common to see cars in "pre-complete" mode at the strip.  I love the seeing the old gassers (and other drag cars) here in the forums.

Thanks for sharing.

I built this a fwe years ago when the Big John Mazmanian kit came out from Revell. I love this kit. I had a blast building it. I built it out of the box with detail. Painted it with nail polish and cleared with automotive clear. Made the decals from my computer and hand did the gold flake look in them.

Matt

This pic was when I had the model done but no paint. I was wanting it done for a model meeting, but I ran out of time. I liked it like that. I am thinkiing about building another like this.

The bummer is that the driver's name is my X wife's and the name of the car was her nic-name! LOL!!
