Mad Max Style Mustang II
Posted by wingform84 on Saturday, June 27, 2009 11:03 AM

Years ago I bought a Mustang II "firefighter" dragster.. right when they first re-released it, built it BADLY .. no decals.. and a month or so ago I found it again, mostly in tact except the hood was gone.  Never could find it.. so I decided to turn it into a Mad Max/battle car type thing. I really like how it came out.  Used parts from many kits.

Are those insulators of some sort on the back? (I never saw the film.) And how did you make them?

Ah, it's not actually from those movies, just most people call "post apocalyptic" type cars "mad max style"

But anyway,  a few months ago I built a truck and used the "Drop Deck Lowboy Trailer"

but didn't want to use the three giant power company transformers that it came with and just had them leftover in my extra bits box and ended up using them for the rear and front sheild, cut down two of the insulators and mounted them back there, and used sewing thread painted silver to run between them like a wire.

never knew they made a model (should've known) of the mustang 2. like the dents and stuff (as wrong as that is). Big Smile [:D]
