I've seen reference to these Sharpie pens before but have never come across them in the UK. There use to be some black card called 'scratchcard' I think. You could scratch the black away leaving white which seems ideal for most instrument dials.
Gerald Wingrove mentions it in his books but I can't locate any anymore.
Does anyone know of an outlet for this stuff? I have a 1/12 Revell 300SL with pathetic instruments which I would like to get right before I get into the build.
