1996 F-150 models?
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 15, 2003 11:00 AM
Hello. I am looking for a plastic model kit of a 1996 Ford F-150 long bed standard cab. Does anyone know if they exist? If anyone has the November 2001 issue of Fine Scale Modeler, on page 58 there is a green and white model of one I would like. Please let me know. Thank you very much!!!

Now in 95/96 they changed body styles and went from the square style front ends to the rounded ones....which are you looking for?

If your looking for the rounded ones try a couple of Hobby Shops/Michaels Arts&Crafts and Hobby Lobby....Ive even seen one on Ebay this weekend....if your looking for a square one that was produced right before the body style change...well I dont recall seeing one...doesnt mean there isnt one, I just cant remember. Hope this helps!

I believe AMT made them, Revell might have put a few out as well...

It was 1997 when they first went to the rounded style. 1996 was the last year for the boxier model.

I don't know about the old style, but I have been trying to find the newer style Ford or Chevy with a regular cab and have had no luck.
