I don't think Aoshima kits ever have an engine.  I know I've gotten a few (few trucks, couple cars, and a couple movie cars) and none have engines. From what I've found, about the only one that almost always has engines are Revell/AMT/Monogram unless its an "easy" kit then it might not.. Tamiya is about half and half, and always tell whether it has full engine detail or not, I've not found many Hasegawa kits with engines either..

That being said, it looks great.   I never built the kit, but it seems to be kinda rare lately.

This is a great kit to add detail to, if you wanted to follow the movie car's interior, there's lots of junk to add.

The lack of an engine didn't bother me, but the incorrect rear parcel shelf did. their shelf is 2x too wide (front to back), so i cut mine in half and detailed it.

here's mine.

Aussie muscle  Oi! Excellent work on Max's wheels.

'Last of the V8 Interceptors' Now you need a Mac truck to convert to the fuel hauler. I have always thought the futuristic cars on Mad Max were too cool and would make a awesome diorama. In fact I believe the Nazi's watched Road Warrior before developeing their weapons of war.

Here is a northeren version of the V8 Interceptor. This one is easy on 'juice'

For the Mack truck, i used the AMT kit, i made most of the cars from mad max 2 (aka road warrior).

That car supposed to be horse drawn? i suppose that's more realistic after the fuel has run out (unlike max driving around in a big v8).

aussiemuscle308, Super-duper awesome cool!

Not sure the intent of the car mounted on a farm wagon, I just seen the irony of it sitting in a field with horses in the background. The 'Mad Max' theme in your work is great and I think it would be a awesome line of vehicles to be manufactured in limited runs for dioramas! The after market could pick up on this idea as the real ones are conversions / modifications themselves.Yes

Now how about a 1/16 scale Max carrying jerry cans with his Blue Healer dog along side?  Ultracast are you guys reading this? I hope so...Don't forget the SS. PE. for the leg brace and turned metal barrel for the shotgun.Cool

What came first? German designed wheeled fighting vehicles or the movie? I'm sure the Nazis traveled time to watch 'The Road Warrior' before designing their vehicles.Hmm

BTW ~ 308 a reference to your gun caliber of choice? Indeed 308 NATO is a accurate cartridge.Star
