                        .............I would agree Tamiya's rally Mechanic is the best currently available set for a racing diorama. They also released a rally drivers set a few years ago, but they might be hard to come by now. Scale Equipment Limited has a number of figures in their "Dudez and Babez" series including three "car club guys" (in street clothes) and "delivery drivers" which can be used in a race track diorama.  Some of their "Show Girls" figures can be used as spectators.

                        Tamiya has some drivers, pit crewmen, and (I think) spectator figures in plastic.  Fujimi has some mechanics and drivers too.  Chimneyville Hobbies has various "character" figures (cop, car show pin-up girls, '50s greaser, etc.) in resin.    Jimmy Flintstone Accessories has "character" figures as well.  Verlinden has drivers and mechanics in resin too.

                        Anyone know of a company that makes a decent line of figures in this scale? I am looking to display some of my autos in a drag strip setting and need some drivers and a guy in the middle doing the arm drop. Kind of a Pinks All Out type of thing.
