AMT 1/25 '66 Mustang Hardtop details

FYI - I got the following response from Model Car Garage: 

"Yes, its for the AMT 1/25 1965-1966 Ford Mustang, the 1/24 is a misprint."

So, I guess I'm good!

I haven't, I don't do a whole lot of aftermarket detailing on my builds. I do know many people do use detail master stuff and I've heard good things about them.

I have bought from Tower Hobby on many occasions and would recommend them, decent prices, and great service. They stock Detail Master parts.

I hadn't heard of detailmaster.com before. Quick perusal looks like they have just about everything for the interior and engine of the car at least.  Thanks for the info.

 Perusal also turns up lots of unavailable items and a few web site errors... Anybody order from them regularly? 

Not sure what is available for that specific kit but have you checked Detail Master? They seem to make something for everything model car related.

That's what I'm thinking also. I asked the folks at Model Car Garage about it, too, and fully understand if I get some variation of, "Duh, different scales are different scales for a reason." But I really don't have a feel for how big a difference it is and it doesn't hurt more than my pride to ask the question. But, if it'll just require a little extra filing to fit them and none but a true Mustang nut would notice it, I might go for it. (My friend's the Mustang nut, after all... he can always choose to "display" it in a back room or closet. )

Currently I am building the 1/24 Revell/Monogram '66 GT 350H (Hertz) fastback for my local IPMS "Auto Theme" .  I have looked at this P/E set several times as I want the engine badges. 

I have over the years bought Decal sets that were recommended for both 1/24 or 1/25 scale.

Some of the P/E might work some may not.  If it was 100% compatible the manufacture would most likely list both scales as that would = more sales.

You could detail the kit you have with wiring the engine, a dark wash in the wheels / hubcaps and the grill and drybrushing the emblems to really make it "Pop"
