Looking for a truck

looks like this guy has the truck from the TV show. He said it was flat head powered.

Thanks for the tip, Dan!  I do want to get it as close to accurate as possible.  I've collected a few pics of the truck, but havn't done any serious studying of the show as of yet.  This weekend it's time to clean up the model room from my summer lull in building & get to work on a couple builds, while hopefully finishing others.  I also have a B-52G & "The King" (from Pixar's "Cars" movie) to finish up.

I just picked up the kit '50 Ford kit from my LHS yesterday (& a Moebius "mini Flying Sub") & literally just ordered a grill/dash conversion kit from Kitchen Table, so I'm all set there.  I'm looking forward to having some fun!

And I do plan on doing this- it is a Christmas present!  I do plan on posting pics.

If I ever decide to build a well weathered truck, Sanford & Sons Ford is high on my list of possible projects. I hope you will post your progress if you do this.

There is no kit of a '51 Ford truck. Revell does a '48-50 and a '56, AMT does a '53. If close enough works I'd probably go for the '53, it looks similar and is a better kit than the '56.

I've seen a resin conversion to make a '51 from the '48-50 kit, but don't recall where.
