Possible source for braided hose.
Posted by Back to the bench on Saturday, September 12, 2009 9:43 AM

I was replacing some speakers in my truck the other day and noticed that the braided wire that is used to connect the terminals to the voicecoil looked a lot like braided hose. I did a little research and found that the wire is called tinsel wire and consists of tinned, braided copper with a core (polyester I think). Here is one place I found that carries it...

Another thing you could use is that fine braided steel wire that you can get a lowes or home depot.

You might try DETAIL MASTERS for braided stuff. While they are mostly into 1/24 or 1/25 accessories I have bought braided stuff from them to use on 1/6 Tamiya Harley kits as brake lines & throttle cables. I'm very pleased with how it looks.

They had bigger stuff then what I used too!

Those are some good sources and links up there. Thanks

I cut open an old XM radio antenna cable and found this:
