US Army topfuel dragster???
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 24, 2003 4:12 PM
has any one built this kit??? I find I am having extreme trouble with the decals, once they go onto the kit its like a kick in the balls moving the bigger ones into position. Owell I guess I can complain since I have only like 5 more to do, but I would still like to know has anyone who has built this kit had a hard time with the decals???

PS this is my first somewaht satisfyingly sucessful car Big Smile [:D] I'll post some pics when I am all done.

HEY,
I am building the same model. I am not quite to the decals, so thanks for the heads up. I did notice that the decals that go on the rear tires dont like to stay on and that the front wheels dont go together too well. Atleast that is what i found.

I did that model. IT was a pain in the butt with those long ones. Just make sure they are plenty wet, Almost falling off the paper, and make sure the model surface has plenty of water or setting solution on it. I moved the decal on likt an inch worm moves. Hope it helps.

I didnt have any problems with the decals. Once you get them on you might want to look at putting some kind of coating over it.

What sould work for you is brush on a mix of mild dish soap and water, that way the decal wont cling to the body and should give you some leway. Also take some ordinary bath tissue and dab the decal down when you have it in place, it should produce what your looking for...
