Mobil 1 Main sponsor
Posted by Argon on Sunday, November 29, 2009 1:21 AM

Hello Everyone;

                        I am currently attempting to finish a fantasy model converting a 1/18 die cast Dodge Viper to a Le Mans GT1 class and would like to use the Mobil 1 as a main sponsor I have so far found one web site that offers a 1/24 of said sponsor and it might have to do unless I can find one close to the 1/18 scale. Any leads would be much appreciated as it will clear my bench of this 1 1/2 year Albatross.Banged Head [banghead]

Argon,

Closer might be the decals from a Tamiya NSX Mobil 1 Race car? 1:20?

HTH

Edit, Write Tamiya, in Alis Viejo, Ca. USA HQ. Bluff em'' and you might get the for free or at reduced cost?

Dr

Just build it (and post pics when youre done)

Thanks for the reply Dr. Faust. I searched the Tamiya web site and the only thing close was a discontinued 1/10 rc NSX no mention of a 1/20. Do you know of a web site or e-mail address for Tamiya California?

The Tamiya Mobil 1 NSX kit (#24198) is 1/24th, which may be a little small for your project.

Thanks for the photo Phil_P. I did see that model listed on the Tamiya web site but it has no picture of it. Now that I have the model number you provided I think I'll take Dr. Fausts recomendations on acquiring them from Tamiya. If I need to I may have to scan them in, enlarge and reprint on white or clear decal sheet. Once I can figure how to post photos I'll show the progress. Again this is only a "What if" model.
