Corvette Z06 WIP

Hello All!

I'm finally posting some pix of my first model since getting back into the hobby. It's been about 18 years since my last build and my skills are a bit rusty... :). This is a complete OOB build just to get my building and painting skills back up to speed before I try something more complicated. Any and all comments are welcome!

Painted pieces before assembly

Engine and transmission

Chassis

Interior bucket

Dash and seats

Finished interior

Rolling chassis

I finished the second attempt of putting color on the body today. The second time turned out much better than the first one and I hope to have the body sealed and attached by the end of the week. Updated pix to follow as soon as she's done!

First of all, let me offically welcome you back to the hobby, Randy. Congrats too on your first WIP thread. Nice build. Very clean. When completed, put this baby in the showroom!

As for comments, the only thing I can think of is to cut some of the gloss on the interior.(Disregard if you're an huge ArmorAll fan.) Be sure to mask any clear parts before spraying a semi-gloss. The guys who regulary post to the Autos subject could give you a much better critique. I build WWII aircraft - whatta I know? lol

Which kit is it? Perhaps you could let us know or post a pic of the box. I can't wait to see the finished product. Again, well done!

Respectfully, Dobby
