I went back 10 pages and was looking for any mention of the new camaro. Does anyone know if there are any good kits out there? I am looking for a good kit my son and I can start building.  He is 9 and i want him to start using his hands on something other then the xbox and the wii.

My advice would be to look for a Snap-Tite kit.  He should be able to handle most of that.  Make a field trip to your local Chevy dealer and see if they have the real thing on the lot or in the showroom.  The two of you could compare your kit to the real car.

I believe both AMT and Revell have done the new Camaro. There are nice kits of the current Mustang, Challenger and Charger too, if he decides he wants to do more.

My son is also 9, he has had some fun doing Lindberg's dinosaur kits. They are pretty basic, already lumpy so little glue accidents are easily covered up and cheap. Michaels has some decent acrylic paint in 2 oz bottles, that is easy to use, has lots of colors and is again cheap so if he doesn't get into it, you are not out a whole lot of money.

Excellent idea! Get the little guy to do a little research on the real thing. He will be hooked for life. My dealer has about 40 Camaro's right now.
