Need help with a model motorcycle company...
Posted by a6m5zerosen on Sunday, January 10, 2010 5:18 PM

I have seen on ebay in the past several incredibly well detailed European motorcycle kits.  They are one of the smaller scales and feature individual metal engine cylinder fins (each cylinder is made up of a "stack" of these fins), individual wheel spokes, etc.  They are not cheap, and rarely available in the USA.  I cannot for the life of me recall the the name of the manufacturer of these kits-can anyone clue me in here? The kits I recall in particular were a Vincent and a Norton.

"no, honey, of course that's not another new model. I've had that one for a long time..."

The Protar kits are fantastic, and your work is outstanding, but the kits I am referring to are much smaller and all metal, with lots of photoetch parts.  They come in a plain white cardboard box with a single large label on the boxtop with a small picture of the bike and lettering.  The parts count is probably between two hundred to three hundred parts, and I used to see them from time to time in the UK.
