Greetings all ya glue sniffin nerds
Ima getting back into the joy I knew as a young man, started with an Eduard King kit, and promptly bailed, lol. I decided to relearn my mad skills on the TD reissues. I just had a blast putting together Rommel's Rod, I'll get some pics up tomorrow. Dang, I can't believe how much I missed this. Divorce, BK, and all, this is what brings me peace . Glue Sniffers Unite!!!!! Thanks to FSM and all of the regulars here, you've reminded me that no matter how bad life can be, and no matter how disparaging the comments from those you thought cared, this is MY hobby, and I refuse to be ashamed!
It's past bedtime here, but a question? Where should I throw the pics. I just spent an alone evening cleaning the survivors, and the latest projects. Sadly they get to move soon, I hope they survive.
Super Bowl???? Bah!!! I will be building........
Sorry for the vent, pics of RR tomorrow;
Mods.....move this thread if you must, just a bad night. Got told this is what 10 yr olds do, Ima bit testy, lol.
BTW, If you have RR, build it; It was a blast, and a wonderful trip down memory lane. Remember the Nasty tube glue, your painting skills that consisted of the best .99 cent testors brush to paint, how pissed you were when the crap spooged all over your "carefully " painted rig. Glass? Sure if you like it fogged......
Put one together...... with the skills you have <sp> acquirred. <sp> Airbrush the finish, make those skeletons look real, use the tools to make decals look painted on, honestly; it's probably the most "pointless" fun I've had involving glue .
I truly forgot the peace of mind that a build can bring. Mea Culpa.
And to all of you with a spouse who understands? Please give her a hug, she is one in a million.
*stepping off the soapbox, kicking dirt, going to bed*
*Oops...plugs camera in*
I'll start a new thread called TD Rods.......................stay tuned
Rob
