From Round 2 Models, the kit is 1/32nd scale, injection-molded, and will be released in April.

1.32 would be good for a slot car conversion but it better be made in 1/24 or 1/25!

I remember the kit in "the day"......
slot cars were as big then as RC is now and tracks were in every local hobby shop.
Probably one reason for the scale but AURORA most likely wanted to fit it in a standard size used for their 1/48th-ish airplanes.
If you want a large scale model you might be able to locate the "entry level" pre-built metal version by Hot Wheels.
LHSs may have marked them down by now as they have been on the market for some time.
I just saw a 1:1 replica of this driving around Palm BEach...Very cool, and enough to push me into trying it when it comes out

Holy Hope So, Batman !...
I won't need to modify my re-issued Revell Futura !
................The 1/32 scale Batmobile is a straight reissue of the 1966 Aurora kit from the classic TV series, but I'm sure most people have figured that out...................During the early nineties Polar Lights did release a 1/25th Batmobile, but it was from the sixties comic book; not the high camp TV series.................The 1/25th Round Two Batmobile, due to be released late this year, will be based on the George Barris customized Lincoln Futura used in the 66' series. Its not clear if it will be curbside or full detail. If it has under hood detail will it be the large block Ford that powered the vehicle in real life or , holy neutrons Batman, the atomic powered turbines that went to speed before the dynamic dual pulled out of the bat cave to do battle with the Joker, Riddler and other members of the Gotham City criminal element.
I had the old kit and will be getting a replacement soonest.
It'll be fun to super-detail the thing and no doubt someone will issue PE for it.
