2004 AMT/Ertl Dale Jr #8 exhaust color?

AS much as I have watched this car I never see any details of the underside or interior. I stripped the chrome off the exhaust (thanks for the info on stripping chrome BTW !) and now need to paint it.I was thinking flattish black or maybe steel, just not sure which.Anyone care to take a good guess or know where I can find a few pics?
