Thanks!

I think to build it as a "chassis display" for now. And slowly build the body. :)

It looks great so far. My wife bought me a Pocher 1930's Mercedes two door tourer in 1988 and it's half done, so perhaps seeing this will spur me on to finish mine! Keep up the good work and look forward to further pics.

Remember , common sense is not common.

I was looking a the body, and some pics from 1/1 Alfas, and something was different... Until I tried the body-firewall-chassis...
Watch this pics...

And now watch the real car... (this is the Touring model, it has the same body of the one I'm building, the only difference is the wing on the back and two spare tires.

The air vent on the real car are much closer to the door than the model I have. So, I'm thinking to cut the body... This also will help to have the firewall in the correct position. Now it stay under the cockpit, instead to in front of it. :)

Cadet Chuck

These Pocher cars are 1/8 scale, so they're pretty big (and heavy- lots of metal parts.)  They are approximately 18 inches long.

By the way, nice work, Brizio!  I didn't paint mine, except for a few details, but now I wish I had!  You are making a big improvement throughout the model.

Thank you! You can always disassemble it and paint it. :)

Pawel

Those Pocher kits look like a very serious affair... How big will the car be when completed? You're doing a great job on this one, thanks for sharing Pawel

Thank you Pawel!

I try to make it more real as  I can, above all trying to remove all the errors that it has... :( It is a lot of work involved, in assemble and disassemble it before paint and the final assemble... But it is fun!!! :)

I don't know how big it will be, I'm not there yet! :) The chassis is long 45cm, and the widest part (back) almost 12cm. A tire diameter is 9,5cm... :) I hope those helps for have an idea. :)

Thank you for looking! :)

The kit has the one like in pics, that they are ok, but they are wrong if you look the support on the original car. I have already removed the original support, and now I need to drill the 3 holes for each side, and attach the new support. :) So finally I can start to paint the chassis... :)

That's strange, because I built both of the Alfa models, and do not remember any chassis support pieces that looked like that.  Perhaps there were different versions of the kits at different times.  Huh....  Where do they go, how are they used?

Thank you!

I will keep in mind what you did, so I can have an idea for the dashboard. Mine is in metal, not plastic.

I made the horn support, and add part of the horn... :)

Yes, you have made a big improvement to the appearance of the engine!

For the dashboard:  it was black plastic, and I brushed a light coat of brown acrylic over it, leaving brushmarks intentionally to simulate wood grain.  The floor is painted flat aluminum, with a thin black wash over it to make it look a little dirty and worn.

Keep the progress pix coming!

Having fun, is the most important in this hobby. :) But also in everything we do... :)

I like the color you paint your dashboard, I didn't think about it yet... So will see... :)

I painted the engine, I think looks little better so...

More too coming... :)

I only painted a few details on mine, such as the dashboard, floor, seat cushions and brake drums.  Looks good and saved a lot of work.

Good luck and have fun with your project!
