The only kit I know of is a resin offering from Modelhaus. They usually follow the original AMT molds, which would mean no engine and basic chassis. I have had no quality problems with their offerings, and resin is not hard to work with, you just have to use superglue or epoxy as regular cement will not work. any paint can be used as long as you prime first. (I prefer autostore  primer and spray touch-up paint). They ain't cheap, around $80, but when that's all there is, it depends on how bad you want one. Your only other choice would be to find an original AMT 1958 3 in 1 kit or a promo, probably on E-Bay, but I guantee they will run a lot more than the price of a resin kit. Good luck !!

Are there any model kits (preferably die cast, but plastic is fine) of a '58 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible? My grandfather has entrusted me in finding a kit for him. He is looking for a black one, either in 1/18 or 1/24. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
