Local Hobby Lobby had an AMT Stingaree kit on bargain shelf for $6.
Kit has two piece rear drag slicks.
Question.
My copy of the old FSM May June 1985 article "Modeling with CA Glue" recommends using CA for porous materials.
The only CA I can locate so far which might fit that requirement is Krazy Glue formulated for Leather and Wood.
Anyone know if this might be OK or does anyone use something else?

1985? I'm certain CA technology has improved since then.
I use CA on resin whiich isn't particularly porous, and I occasionally use it on styrene.

That's about how long I've been away from the hobby.
Just used CA formulated for leather and wood on another "rubber" tire / platic rim assembly for my Rommel's Rod project.
So far no difficulties.
I was about to try Jon_a_its suggestion of filling narrow gaps with Gator or Elmers Glue but just realized my white glue hardened 20 years ago and need to buy a new supply.
I intend to make resin casts of the Stinaree Drag slicks and the recently glued tires for my Rommel's Rod.
The modifications need to hold long enough to make two or three good molds.
I'll post when I have more news regarding the resin casting.

I had clipped the article and tucked it away in the "how to " cast resin duplicates section of Sheperd Paine's "How to Build Dioramas" by Kalmbach books.
Still a good read after all these years.
Spruce -Check my bobber wip,latest post, for the tire glue ..........this may work.
