Thanks Bob and David,

Yes, he was very pleased with it.   His father owned a '69 Charger funny car much like this one; he'd made his own decals to reflect that one and wanted to apply them himself.      I made the body "slick" and gave him a paint bottle of Future to coat the thing with when he gets the markings on.

Look forward to seeing Revell's old Funny Cars when they come out, especially the Mongoose!

      Take care and thanks again,

      Frank

Frank-very nice job!  I built a Polar Lights 'Cuda a few years ago-you're right-tough kit but all the pieces are there for  a good looking late 60's funny car.

Now personally, I'm too OCD to not build it using the box artwork/picture & decals, but you did what the client wanted and he/she should be very happy with the results.

On a side note, it looks like Revell will be releasing the Chi-Town Hustler, the Hawaiian & Tom McEwen's early 70's rides in the next couple of months.

Here's my latest commissioned build, a Polar Lights "Supercharger Funny Car".

The client wanted the body orange with a blue frame, and didn't want any markings on it except the grill, tail light, and side vent decals.       Pretty much OOB except I scratched spark plug, instrument wires, fuel line, and belt.  (client requested a yellow belt... that's what he got)

Typical poor Polar Lights quality, and the instruction sheet was horrid; little more than a listing of all the parts instead of an assembly guide.        Had to figure some of it out on my own, but it cleaned up into a fairly decent build.

Take care,

Frank
