1984 Chevy Corvette?
Posted by Railfan 233 on Thursday, August 5, 2010 9:43 PM

Does anyone know if there is a company currently making a 1/25 or 1/24 scale model of a 1984 Chevy Corvette?

I doubt I would be able to ge my hands on a model of the A-TEAM van any time soon, but I have been eyeing Face man's Corvette, which was also seen in the show.

Are there any substitutes to the car that I could correct to get an accurate model?

MPC made one, modeled in lovely GOLD.

Here's a kit for sale at Model Express, note that the store is closed for holidays until the 8th.

So long folks!

Monogram had them back in the day.  Cement and snap.  I built a bunch of them.  Monogram also had a 1/8th scale 85 coupe kit if you want big.  With the exception of the engine, not much difference between an 84 and 85 coupe.

Thanks. It may be interesting to do a 1/8 scale kit. What are the differences in the engine?

The 84s are CrossFire TBI:

The Crossfire was used only on the 82s and 84s.

85 and up are port fuel injection:
