Grab Your Grabber - '70 BOSS 429
Posted by ThePanzerWarMachine on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 2:53 PM

this is my very first post here in the auto section of this website so i'll give it a go.

I have to tell you guy's ( and Gals?) a Story that is the reason of this purchase.

When i was a kid not so long ago, my father was the proud owner of 1 of the Most Famous vehicles ever made, and certainly, 1 of the most famous muscle cars ever, a Ravenblack, 1969 Boss 429 Ford Mustang with all the options, rear Slats, Spoiler, Magnum 500 Wheels, and others.

so when i was looking for a new 1/35 tank to get my hands on for a new tank project. i saw this thing in the shop, it is in Grabber blue and it is the 1970 model. i hope my photo turns out good.

I can't wait to see this car come out. A Mustang Boss is a real classic in my book, and I love the car itself.

Yes, Good times were had by all who drove or rode shotgun in a Mustang BOSS. I can't wait to see the completed car.

Did you get a chance to drive it?By all accounts it is a brute and there is a special warning sticker on the dash advising that the sintered iron brakes require more effort than normal!

Hey There, No sorry, at the age of 6 and with out a Drivers lisence i was not capeble of taking the BOSS out for a spin. I do remember that every friday, My dad picked me up after school and drove to town and get an ice-cream. You should've seen my  Friends faces!! Cool

My Father actually maneged to track down the man who baught it back in '96, and they are now talking about a possible selling price..... Price my dad told me.... $450.000 or just underneath that.

The Owner now was willing to lower the price if my Father traded in a '69 COPO Camaro.... We don't have that.

P.S Does anyone knows how to edit photos as the one i have in my first post?? - Thanks.

So, you may wind up getting the same BOSS, and driving it? Man, that would be great if you can have both the real car, and a model to go with it.

As for the photo, you should be able to just copy the Immage url (it starts and ends with [img]) and paste it here.

If you have dificulties with it, go to the Insert Media button on the tool bar (it looks like some film), and paste the Immage [img] url into the box that says :

"Link to media
Enter the URL for the media that you would like to use."
Then, hit  Insert, and it should come up with the URL (it won't show the photo in the Write/Edit or Preview windows)
Then, post as normal, and it should come up.
Let me know if it works.
