HI,

no it isn't flocking, it is the self adhesive mat that tamiya supply in the kit, is is like flocking, but in a mat form that you cut to size (with templates supplied in the instructions)

hope that helps a little

Excellent job Jason! Clean and tidy. I have a question though, is that flocking on the floor or something else? Thanks. Cool

yeah i go for the factory fresh show room look,  as per the future i would love to use it, but here in australia, it is damn near impossible to find,  i have seen it once and that was a few years ago, kicking myself for not getin some then.

Great job Jason!

The only thing I can see that could look better is to dip the headlights & tail lights in Future floor polish and let dry before installing them on your car. This is a trick used by aircraft modelers to clear up canopies. The Future fills tiny imperfections and makes the clear plastic look a lot more transparent.

Some weathering of the tail pipes and possibly a wash & dust underneath is a realistic touch as well, to each his own as auto modelers like the `factory fresh`look.

Thanks for posting the pictures!

Hi guys,

thought i would share some finished shots of my first completed model for a while.

it is finished out of the box, in zero paints  ocean blue metallic paint (porsche) i also carpeted the interior with the supplied carpet.  the window masking was accomplished with some 0.6mm masking tape.

enjoy the pictures
