Same on the Yamaha, looks interesting to say the least.  I am also surprised by the color, I thought when I ordered the kit, the bike was red, but it is a metallic copper/orange on white 2 tone.  Was surprised by that.  I also after researching this model figured out that this kit can also pass for the 1959 version w/a simple color change.  The bike would go on to be a very popular machine in the day and gave Honda a run for the money in the early 60's.  One of the things that propelled this bike to the for front of sales was the fact of the 2 tone color, seems @ the time most other bikes came in one basic color, black!  Yamaha decided to break from that chain and came up with this color combo to end up topping out bikes sales for that year!  Simple but effective marketing.  I ordered this kit from Japan and the guy had it to me w/in 3 days.  WOW!!!!!!!  Looking forward to building this when time allows, many projects underway right now.  Do you have any photos of your builds Mad-Modeler?

Wait till you get to lacing the wheels, was not too bad on the Rikuo as it involved just inserting straight rods. on On the BSA you need to put in a 1mm bend on one end and hook those into a disc

Have fun those kits are great.

Still got the Gunze BSA Goldstar in the Stash and a 1/6 Yamaha XS1100LG is warming the bench.

By the way, when I was 15 years old, my Dad and his best friend went halves on one just like this, but it was metallic green.  I believe they split $500.00, $250.00 apiece for a brand new one.  Man that thing was fast and sounded oh soooo cool.  One weekend the other fella got a bit drunk and laid it down in a gravel parking lot, he gave my Dad his $250.00 back.  Now it belonged to him, beat up and all, but it still ran like the devil.  That was the last time I remember my Dad owning a bike.  Many many years later, he would ride my Harley.

This will be the 2nd one of the Gunze Motorcycles I have built.  Many moon ago I had the Honda Racing Bike, was very fragile, but oh so neat to look @.  I also @ one time was a big Protar fan, but very expensive now and I have not built one for along time.  This will be the 1st bike I have built in awhile.  The last was the Tamiya 1/9 Honda 750 Four Police bike.  A nice kit too.

Looking forward to the WIP.

I build the Rikuo in the series, those kits are not easy builds but look great when finished.
