Got this kit as a gift so I ordered some photo etch and fork upgrades, here are the basic parts

I do'nt like the plating as it does'nt look scale

so I gave it a soak in bleach to strip it off

the swing arm adjusters need to be removed for the upgrade parts

and a dry fitting of the major components

here the silver leaf has been sprayed on

since I was spraying the silver leaf went ahead and shot the exhaust in prep for the engine

the v5 power plant after basic assembly pretty straight forward added the scratch built linkage to the throttle spray bar

heat 'blued the exhaust and dry fitted

here the bodywork has been sanded and ready for paint

the panels painted and decals applied,lots of tiny decals and the hard part was lining up the checker pattern

the rim decals are the hardest even though they look simple

this is the progress to date

added the heat 'blueing'to the tire edges using blue&purple scripto ink pens here is the first application

and after feathering it out and toning it down to the desired effect
