Hi everyone, just finished this up.
Please, let me know what you all think. Any comments welcome.

Nice build Stephen. One question-what did you do to the rims? I have the same kit in process and I want to 'de-chrome' the rims and get the finish that you have successfully achieved.
Thanks
Bob
Thanks for looking in, Bob. I soaked the wheels in Simple Green for a few days (probably a lot longer than needed), then cleaned them off with a soft brush. Then painted them with testor's aluminum. If I had the metalizer non-buffing I would have used it for a smoother finish, but I was out. HTH.
Thanks Stephen. Hopefully I'll get around to finishing my C6-R sometime soon.
Again, nice build.
No problem Bob, looking forward to seeing yours.
Nice looking 'Vette.

Hi Wing_nut, Thanks for looking in!
That is a sharp looking vette!

Enemeink,
Thanks for looking in, the kit is made by Revell.
Nactflieger,
Appreciate the comment, it was a fun build.
Update, this corvette won second place in the auto competition division at the ASMS show back on the 9th of Oct.
Stephen-congratulations on your award-well deserved....again, very nice job on your C6-R.
Bob, thanks for checking back in. Ironically the car that took first place was the same kit, but done in the ALMS livery as white #4. The guy did a nice job and had a lot of details that I overlooked.
Howdy Stephen,
I really like how your Vette turned out..!! Over all build is rock solid and congrats on the win.. I have a few of these in my stash..
Maybe now is the time to build one up Thank you for sharing

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger
Hi there Butz- Thanks for taking a look. The model was a nice build and I'm glad it turned out well for me. Look forward to seeing more of these on the forums
