Scratchbuilding/converting WW2 German Fire Engines
Posted by retdfeuerwehr on Monday, October 25, 2010 2:06 PM

I've built one converted fire engine and am finishing up on a scratchbuilt GLG 4500 in 1:35. I plan on converting the Zvezda MB L4500A into another GLG. Is anybody else out there interested in this sort of stuff?

Yes, absolutely!

I am always interested in seeing conversion/scratches and learning new techniques.

Post some wips, please.

Yes, certainly.

I picked up a 1-24/5 th scale Delahey (***?) Fire Truck because it has "classic" styling like an American thirties vehicle and will use it as a basis for a custom car hauler.

I'm not sure exactly what you have in mind but I'd love to follow along.Cool

I've got some photos...but I don't know how to post them. Where do I go to find out how?

I was hoping someone more "eloquent" would have stepped up by now?

Here goes:

As long as your photos are hosted on a site like Fotki/Photobucket etc-

Identify your chosen picture. Photobucket for instance will offer the "links" just by having your own cursor on the picture. In that case, just copy and paste the hypertext (URL). If not for some reason, have the picture on your screen and right click the mouse to open a drop down window which will give you 'properties'. Drag your cursor across this URL and copy again. Come over here where you are composing your post and drop that URL into your post with "paste" (right click mouse again). On either end of the URL type {img} and then {/img}. It will all be text while you are composing but when posted you will have embedded your picture into your post. Example while you are composing:

{img}www.photobuckit/myalbums/worstpictureIevertook{/img}

NOTE: Replace { with [ and } with ].

They are directly above and below each other on "that key".

I hope that helps some?
