R Fluhr

I did a little work in my computer's paint program today and came up with this picture of what I'm planning.

Way cool concept.  Looking forward to the final product. Yes

Saw one at a show earlier this year that the builder took the treads off and used modern wheels. He converted it to a tow truck. Really looked neat.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.

This oughtta be neat! Maybe back in the day the half-track portion of this kit worked but when I opened the box on the repop my own mind wandered to just such a conversion. Scrounge up some skeletons that aren't modeled so "flat" and it could be a real head turner while staying true to the concept.

I'll look forward to this one as you progress!Cool

Neat. Is it armor or is it auto? /shrug

I did something very similar, but with tracks off a Panther. Lots of fun.

I have a personal affection for this kit. When i was a little kit my uncle gave me all his models from the 60's and 70's. I still have both the Rod's he gave me and very little else. :(

look forward to seeing yours.

Hello everyone I have a new project in mind, I'm getting a Rommel's Rod this week and I'm planning a little major surgery.
I'm going to use the treads and graft the rear area from a 1/32 scale German half track on it. I will post progress pics when I get started.

This is a picture of the half track.

This is of course the rod.
