Question for the car guys

Heres one I did for my Bobber '47 . Think about the way a road looks ,less wear in the middle,oil stains in the middle etc. Go look at a highway as well. This was clay , I let it dry for a while, then with a Saran wrap 'barrier' I pressed it into a concrete  garden step out side.Then after drying  I went with lots of thinned acrylic washes for the layered effect.

I have used wet or dry sandpaper- very fine, like #600. I sometimes weather it by spraying with a very light gray. Other times I just use a gray paint for the asphalt, applied over black, airbrushed to shade it.

I used the gray FleckStone product on presentation board.  I think it worked out well.  I first used it for a display I was making for an SCCA event dinner, at a site we use that has very bleached asphalt.  The color and pattern looked very close to the place we race:

It's held up well to several applications, and pretty cheap.  I demarked parking spaces with some white chalk, rub it a bit, and you have weathered parking lot paint.
