This is a backyard kind of armoured truck thingy I made using left over parts from an AMT 29 Ford (1/25) kit.
Comments always welcome. Thanks for looking.
Nice build. Good looking rust treatment. Is the bed real wood? Looks like old faded wood. Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
............That's a cool version. It looks like something out of a post apocalyptic movie if they had such movies during the thirties............. There were areas of South America, the Caribbean and else where, during thirties, forties and later, where old Fords and other makes were militarized with improvised armor because local governments couldn't afford purpose built armored vehicles. Also there were also anti government faction, in some places, that did the same.
very nice build and paint. Is there a WIP thread here ?

................No, I guess you have to come out with your own back story about why someone would modify a 29' ford coupe into a home made armored car in one to one scale. It is still a cool scale model though.
Looks like something out of the Mexican revolution, I like it.
Pat.
Thanks guys. I actually don't have any WIP pics for this one. You can probably guess what is scratchbuilt and what is not.
I like your guys' ideas on this. I was also thinking of someone being paranoid all hell would break loose on this side of the Atlantic during the war. Or maybe some gangsters made this makeshift get away car.
somefella ... Or maybe some gangsters made this makeshift get away car.

I was thinking the same thing - a tank for the mob!

nice job makes me think .Ron
That is pretty cool looking build you got there. I can see some folks from my neck of the woods doing something like that back in 30-40"s to keep the ole revenuer off their backs. Thanks for sharing.
