1951 F1 Ford Pick Up
Posted by DAN8808 on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 5:54 PM

Hello all,

Lately I have been trying to find a Model kit for a 1951 Ford F1 pick up for my father as he has fully restored an actual Pickup and has wanted one ever since. I was able to find Die cast model that were red and green, however his pickup is a bright orange. I could really use help locating an unassembled or unpainted model.

Howdy!

I heard Monogram made one in 1:24 or in 1:25. Could be hard to get nowadays... Hope it helps, have a nice day

Paweł

Hello Pawel,

I was looking at this site and others that listed Monogram model kits but was unable to find one:

http://www.oldmodelkits.com/

I was able to find a 1950 Ford pickup model but it's just not the same.

Thanks for your help, I really do appreciate it.

Dan,

you can always get a diecast and pull them apart for repainting and detailing.

@ philo426:

That would be a 1950 Ford Pick up you posted. The 1951 F1 has a much different front end.

@ OctaneOrange:

Yes I suppose that one could do that.

I purchased a 1951 in red livery recently for my father, it was quite good for the price and I believe 1/18th.
