48 ANGLIA GASSER 1967 RULES CHANGE W/427 CHEV POWER

Although I'm better known as an armor modeller, I grew up fascinated with early drag racing.

Lately, I have been wondering around on a kind of "modelers walkabout".

As such, I have been building outside of my normal realm.

So here, submitted for your inspection...

Ya Tony,

When I was a kid, my best friend's dad ran a 33 willy's panel van gasser.

Fond memories..."Sunday!  Sunday!, Sunday! At US 30 Dragstrip........"

Way cooler than the stuff they run today!

Glad you like it.

Glad you like it! TD4438.

As for the kit?  Well lets just say, typical for a 20 plus year old car kit.

Nothing really fits like it should and everything needs LOTS of clean-up.

Also the engine and wheels and tires are from the "spares box".

The velocity stacks are made out of K & S aluminum tubing, and I "spun" the flairs using a Dremel and an awl.
