I've been trying to get Panzerjager to do a Panzer IV ausf. "bling" with chromed gun barrel,  luster black finnish with white accents and red pinstriping, all black road wheels with chrome swastika spinners, purple velour interior and fuzzy dice hanging from the TC's hatch handle but no joy..........Sad

Love the idea about the sherman racer.  Maybe you could do one with an extended rear end housing a 2800 hp double wasp!

 CrashTestDummy:

Aoshima makes some aftermarket 'ricer-like' wings in 1/24th scale.  It's not F1, but more like Australian V8 Supercar and DTM type of wing.

Even better!

I've been waffling between going more actual racecar (er...tank) or more ghetto fabulous. Some of those wings might be just the thing...

Ghetto fabulous! Hang some fuzzy dice from the .50 cal on the turret!

I don't typically do lighting...but maybe some purple ground effects lights in the lower hull...

Not sure if a Sherman "needs" the additional down force, but a F1 type rear wing would be pretty easy to scratch out of styrene.

Tank racers. This has got to be one of the most unusual, bizarre and slightly insane ideas I've ever heard of. I Heart it!

If it comes to it, I'll scratch it...but I'd at least like to get a look at what's out there, if anything.

Also...still working out the livery, but I'm leaning toward a Ronson-sponsored privateer...

I'm planning to build an M4A4 Sherman for the Natural Metal Finish III group build. Yeah, I know.

I'm thinking of it sort of the way so many old warbirds were repurposed as air racers. Well, this one's going to be a tank racer, and I want to gussy it up a bit.

So...to get to the point. Anybody know where I could source an aftermarket F1/Indy-style rear wing? I know jack-all about the auto side of modeling, but I'd imagine this has to be available somewhere?
