After a bit of searching I finally found what might be what I'm looking for.  Testor's makes a color called "Phoenician Yellow" which is a lightly yellow tinted cream color.  Unfortunately, it's in a rattle can...so next thing to do is try and decant it.

Thanks for your help.  If this doesn't work out, I'll check out the "radome tan".

I use a paint from Model Master called Radome tan #4722. I think it looks creamy, but thats my opinion.

Thanks guys.   I have an email out to Model Car World.

I'll have to give the hand-mix option a try I guess...not too good at it though.

Mix your own.  Add some yellow to cream and see what you get.

If you want to stay with Testor MM paint, they do make a color called Light Ivory #2709 that is a close resemblence to cream, and they also make a color called Cream #1116 in the standard testors line. If you want factory correct I suggest Model Car World http://www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/ .

Accurate paint for Revell '37 Ford pickup
Posted by Fla Modeler on Saturday, June 4, 2011 8:19 PM

I recently purchased a Revell '37 Ford pickup.  The 2-in-1 kit with a blue version and a cream version.  I really like the cream version, however I am having a hard time locating a paint that matches the box photo.  Revell just calls it "Glossy Cream", even though it looks like it has more yellow in it.

Has anyone found a suitable matching paint for this truck?

Thanks,
