Valiant Charger (mayhem version)
Posted by OctaneOrange on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 8:17 PM

This is the Trax model of the Australian Charger. it's a 1/24 scale diecast VJ (1973 model) in sunburst yellow. i decided to rejig it to replicate the charger from the movie 'Suburban Mayhem'.  This involved taking off the factory stripes for movie correct ones and adding license plates. i also changed the wheels. fortunately the colour was fairly close, but i did paint the black out on the rear spoiler. (rear wheel isn't attached in these photos, that's why it's wobbly).

here's a 'before' shot

The movie car

Its great seeing a Charger in scale. I remember these from when I was a kid, and everyone at school would copy the TV ad and mave a V with their fingers and say "Hey Charger" whenever one drove by! Nice model, looks just right.

Well, to see a "real" Charger thats yellow with a black stinger, you'll have to find the movie "Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry".

LOL, robert

I'd rather light than fight.

Looking for sprint car decals, Mopars, and wheel and tire sets from ARII and Otaki.

"models available" list on my Photobucket, link below:
