Batmobile
Posted by kenjitak on Thursday, October 27, 2011 1:52 AM

Picked up a Batmobile last week and set all else aside to put it together. It was a really fun build. Added a few extra bits for more fun.

Very nice looking.  I wish someone would do a model of the new batmobile though.

Eric,

Moebius Models is doing a kit of the Tumbler as seen in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. The Bat-Pod version, as seen in Dark Knight, is also in the works.

Tom: Is that the snap together or glue version of Batmobile?

Cheers, Aaron

I was referring to the Tumbler.  I would also like to find a full scale version just to test drive.

Beautiful model!  I believe that is the one that appeared in the 1960's TV series starring Adam West.  It was originally a Lincoln concept car of the future, built by Ford in the late 50's, to tour the auto show circuit, then bought and modified by the studio (or someone) into what you see there, for the TV show.

I had no idea there were so many other versions!  Interesting!

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Great seeing those photos.CoolYes

I  , too, didn't know so many Batmobile versions were in print.

................Aaron removed his Bat Cowl and now looks like an ordinary, average American millionaire playboy, industrialist, and philanthropist.

nice batmobile. it looks the part.

i've done all the 'movie' batmobiles, my favourite is the forever version.

the one i'd like to build out of that list would be the 2004 'the batman' from the animated series. it looks so cool.

Decals went on pretty easily using Solvaset. I was expecting a more difficult time.

I just used Testors Model Master gloss black in a rattlecan followed by a coat of Future after the decals dried.

Original Batmobile Sold for $4.6 Million

The new owner, Phoenix-area executive Rick Champagne, was so excited with his latest purchase that he even promised to garage his new ride inside his own home. “I'm going to tear down a wall and put in my living room," he said.
