Top Gear Eco Challenge car
Posted by OctaneOrange on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 6:16 PM

Another top gear model completed. this time, the eco challenge 'Hammer-i Eagle Thrust', built by the top gear crew. They took a chassis from a TVR and an electric motor from a milk float truck. suffering from an exhausted battery, they then added a diesel generator. the seats are plastic lawn chairs and it was described by a magazine reviewer as 'the worst car ever made'.

This model was built from sheet styrene on top of a Fiat Uno chassis (including the wheels). headlights are off a fiat panda and everything else is either made from flat styrene or parts from my spares box.

As Artie Johnson on the old TV show "Laugh In" used to say "Vedddddddyy Interesting, but slightly peculiar". Wink Nice scratchbuild.

I can hear the crew coughing and gasping now in the cloud of smoke produced when their diesel generator fired up after the exhaust pipe fell into the car.  Nice work.
