Also if your so inclined Ebay is a good source for old or unusual kits. I have purchased some old road racing and Indy car kits recently. As usual several of the sellers ask rediculous prices but you can also find reasonably priced stuff if you are patient.

seem to have the same 50 or so Revell, Monogram, AMT kits.

that's because the same guys who built model cars 30 years ago are the same guys that build them today!

I'm not into muscle or racing cars, maybe Fomula One or something like a "Speed Racer" car. My favorite car is a Porsche 356B Cabriolet, followed by a MGB (actually had one in my 20's). I'll see what I can find...
